Why your Elevator Pitch is important, and how to master it. One of the aspects I always try to get my clients to work on at an early stage in our relationship is their Elevator Pitch. It’s so simple and yet so important to have a good one that’s been through a number of iterations and has been tested on a spouse or a friend to gauge it’s impact. A well thought out Elevator Pitch will help you engage better with your audience and the key point is – you never know when that might be.
The concept of an’Elevator Pitch’ was simply to help people realise that they may have a typical 30-second journey on an elevator with someone they don’t know in which to simply explain what they do in a compelling way that may engage the interest of the recipient, who could be a great prospect – or not, if the pitch is poor!
